This makeup is a more "gothic" and dark style than M-01. The eyeshadow is heavier, there is often shading around the eyebrows, and the lips tend to be dark and gothic-styled on the girls, or to be airbrushed and have a fairly diffuse look to them on the boys. You can apparently somewhat specify what colours you might like to have with this style of faceup, but if you want to be specific in any way at all, it is better to go with M-04.
