About 1200 years ago, the huge imperial castle named 'Heian' was built on the north of Yamashiro which overlooks Yamato in the far distance.
Since then, people have called this place 'Kyoto, capital of Japan' and have respected the place as a hometown of the Japanese heart with the feeling of reverence. It has been respected as a special place where Japanese emperor lives.
In October of 2003, a special Super Dollfie with an angel's wings comes down to this special place, Kyoto.

Kyotenshi was Volks' first 'tenshi' type. It was released at Hometown Dolpa Kyoto 1 and could only be bought at the event itself; it was not available at the After Event.
KyoTenshi came with the first generation pureskin body that had the somewhat awkward knees and some posing issues that were fixed with the 'real knees' version.
The name 'KyoTenshi' later came to refer to any SD10 'tenshi' type, and this headmold was later rereleased as KyoTenshi type Shiratori.
The KyoTenshi body looks basically like the SD10 boy body, except that instead of having any genitals, the area between the legs is completely blank. (Please note this example pic is with the 'new' knees, not the original knees KyoTenshi came with.)
Unlike most SD10, all KyoTenshi come with unique hands. (extra pic)
