Notes:
Byakuren, Shiratori and Tsubaki were released to commemorate the opening of Tenshi no Sato in Kyoto. A special pre-opening event was held for members of Volks VIP club only, and the three Tenshi types could be bought at the time.
Unlike other Tenshi types however, these three were not limited to the event only. Any visitor of Tenshi no Sato was welcome to purchase one of these Tenshi at any time.
The initial release of Byakuren came with the first version of the pureskin body, which had some issues with standing and rather unattractive knees. However this body was gradually phased out and the newest version, with better stability and nicer looking knees, was brought in. It is called the 'real knees' pureskin body to differentiate from the original.
At the Tenshi no Sato 3rd Anniversary Fair (March, 2007) "renewal" versions of Byakuren, Shiratori and Tsubaki were released, with renewed makeup versions, and in Pureskin UV Protect resin. As a result, this version of Byakuren is now no longer available and you can buy the UV Protect version instead.
The KyoTenshi body looks basically like the SD10 boy body, except that instead of having any genitals, the area between the legs is completely blank. (Please note this example pic is with the 'new' knees, not the original knees the early Byakurens came with.)
Unlike most SD10, all KyoTenshi come with unique hands. (extra pic)

Story:
The spirit of the "lotus" that blooms in the waters of Tenshi no Sato.

The white lotus, that's me. The spirits of the fountain gushing forth at Sato and the Mother Dollfie sent me forth into this world.
Even though I wanted to sleep just a little longer within that sparkling light...
I'm coming to you, my dear beloved.

Note: the kanji for Byakuren's name literally means 'white lotus'.
