Notes:
Shizu Kimono Version is the same headmold as Madoka (Western Style), Madoka (Japanese Style), and Shizu.
Shizu was originally planned to be released at NY Dolpa 4, however after the Dolpa was cancelled due to travel concerns surrounding the new influenza strain, it was announced that the LE for the event would still be released, via FDQ's website instead of via Volks. Shizu was first listed on the FDQ website for sale on July 1st, 2009, and was available 'first come first serve', with applications accepted via a PDF application form. Apparently FDQ received such a flood of orders and queries regarding her that she sold out almost immediately, and the link to purchase her was removed from the site soon after. It is unknown what the total number of Shizus released was but it is implied that she was quite limited.
Shizu was different to usual Volks' Limited Edition releases -- although all Shizus came with the same body, headmold and makeup, each Shizu came with different coloured eyes, a different wig, and a different and unique kimono. There were five different eye colours, three different styles of wigs (as well as multiple different wig colours), and a wide variety of kimono styles and colours. It was said that each Shizu's style was coordinated individually so that her wig, eyes and kimono were the most suitable combination. As a result, each Shizu could be considered a one of a kind. The original FDQ Application form had three types of Shizu listed -- 'Dark Combo', 'Medium Combo', and 'Light Combo' -- however choices were not guaranteed to be fulfilled and there was no information on any of the received Shizus that stated which doll was which combination.
