Kira was released as a Limited Edition to celebrate the Tenshi no Sumika Standard Fair and also the 10th Anniversary Year of the birth of Super Dollfie. Up until this time, Kira was the only one of the original four sisters that had not yet been rereleased in pureskin.
As a celebration of the 10th Anniversary, this LE version of Kira comes with a new body type, the 'Origin' body. This body was designed to look just like the original SD girl non-jointed body, which had a much more pronounced back arch than the renewed pureskin version; however as it is a pureskin body, it still has all the features of the pureskin bodies, such as the one-touch system for changing parts and the UV protect resin for protection from sun damage. Volks have apparently said that if this body proves popular they may release more dolls with it.
