This set of pictures illustrates a few of the stages that go into making a finished outfit for Zuzu. Her body is very curvy (as you may have noticed) and so getting a perfect pattern for the little lady can sometimes be a bit of a chore!


I originally focussed on making a good brassiere pattern - getting a close fit across those boobies was not easy!


I decided to make a dress in this wonderful turquoise fabric. For some reason I decided on a design that required a lot of topstitching. It took ages, since I sew by hand. This picture was taken at about the halfway point.


Finally finished - although the skirt could do with a bit of an iron. I rustled up a rather hasty net petticoat to make the skirts more poofy.


I really like the way a halter-styled neckline shows off those new tattoos of hers.
